Dear Leza, I just read your column in the Feb. 12 Tribune and I have bad news for you (but good news for your husband). You can now get Kirkland Signature brand chocolate chips at Costco in a 2 kilo bag for 183 pesos. They are very good.

That is VERY good news indeed! I have been paying nearly half that for about 2 cups. Costco has made grilled cheddar cheese sandwiches and chocolate chip cookies a reality again!

Hello, I´ve been trying to find a way to contact you. I´m a former teacher trainer for one of the largest textbook companies in the States, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. My title was Author- in-Residence for the Textbook division. I was well-known for my highly entertaining and effective workshops. I´m also known for my short novel about teaching entitled Entertaining an Elephant that sold well-over 100,000 copies. I´d like to send your teachers a free digital copy of my book and talk to you about doing one or more free workshops for your faculty. BTW, the novel has a large Latino element to it, and I´ve just been asked to speak at the Hispanic Teacher Conference in Florida in September. I´m retired now and live full-time in PV. My email is drbilly@att.net. Hope to hear soon. Dr. Bill McBride

Hi Shari! Thanks for getting in touch. The project sounds very interesting. What would you need from me? A commitment to a certain number of pieces? Or what would be involved?
Thanks for any information. Have a great evening!

Hello – I just finished reading your column in this weeks PVMirror (Thirteen married years) & I enjoyed it because I could identify with many thing. My husband & I have been married for 42 years – full of good & bad times. We don’t agree on many things – food choices, entertainment, friends. But we allow each other to pursue our interests, & as you say in your closing statement, even when I don’t see the romance, I always see the love. I am so very lucky.

Thank you for reading my column and for finding me on my blog! Congratulations on 42 years – making a life with someone isn’t easy, but it looks to me like you’ve both put in the work and made it a beautiful thing 🙂
